We are looking for a dynamic leader, who is smart, entrepreneurial, well-connected, diplomatic and a good sales person to be the Senior Director of Corporate Partnerships & Philanthropy (CPP). This is a highly strategic position that will engage with top business leaders and global philanthropists, to create inspired partnerships that advance PSI’s global strategy.

 

Working with a portfolio of private sector partnerships across the pharmaceutical, consumer goods, and technology industries, the Senior Director will engage CEOs and others to foster new, leading-edge opportunities for collaboration. The Senior Director will also play a leading role in building and growing Maverick Collective, PSI’s signature philanthropic initiative in partnership with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, which aims to engage the intellectual and financial resources of philanthropists investing $1M+ in pilots of girls and women. Responsibilities

Your contribution

  1. Creating and executing a coordinated vision for innovative partnerships at PSI.
  2. Developing and executing organization-wide fundraising and partnerships strategy.
  3. High-level strategic leadership across the Maverick Collective and corporate partnerships teams, working closely with our key strategic partners and funders, including corporate CEOs and the Gates Foundation.

Qualifications

What are we looking for?

 

The basics:

  • At least 15 years’ experience in strategic partnership development and management, possibly gained within a major international non-profit organization or NGO;
  • At least 12 years’ relevant work experience in managing cross-functional teams, building relationships within organizations, and fundraising;
  • A master’s degree in a relevant subject (MBA, MPH, etc.);
  • Experience and passion about working on international health issues and a willingness to work hard to make a difference in the lives of those we serve;
  • A deep understanding of international development opportunities and challenges- you know the key players and can play an integral role in connecting partners;
  • Excellent understanding of philanthropy, corporate social responsibility, shared value, and social enterprise;
  • You are an energetic, pro-active, practical, and motivated self-starter with problem solving ability;
  • You have excellent presentation and communications skills – sales pitching useful;
  • Budget management experience required;
  • You are fluent in English;

 

Preferred but not required:

  • Marketing, account management or corporate experience;
  • Experience creating and managing international development; programs/partnerships in either Asia, Africa or Central America;
  • Experience living and working in a developing country;
  • Advanced skills in Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, SharePoint, budget management and data analysis.
