Who we are
With over 45 years of experience, working in over 60 countries, Population Services International (PSI) is the world’s leading non-profit social marketing organization. PSI is reimagining healthcare, by putting the consumer at the center, and wherever possible – bringing care to the front door. We are working to fix market failures, shape future health markets and shift policy and funding to better support consumer empowered healthcare.
There are over 8,000 “PSI’ers” around the world. We are a diverse group of entrepreneurial development professionals with a wide range of backgrounds and experience. All with unique skills that we bring to the critically important work that we do.
PSI/Cambodia was established in 1993 when it launched a social marketing campaign for Number One condoms, a brand that still has a significant market share in Cambodia. Since then, PSI/Cambodia has expanded to include malaria prevention, diagnosis and treatment, HIV prevention, reproductive health and family planning, child survival (diarrhea prevention and treatment and pneumonia treatment), and WASH. Between 2012 and 2017, PSI/Cambodia’s operations were carried out by Population Services Khmer (PSK), an independent PSI network member and a locally registered nonprofit. PSI/Cambodia re-absorbed PSK’s activities in 2017 to maximize efficiency of operations, though PSI/Cambodia continues to be guided by local leadership and a Cambodia-based advisory board.
PSI/Cambodia tackles the most pressing health problems so Cambodians can lead happier, healthier, more productive lives. PSI/Cambodia works in collaboration with the Royal Government of Cambodia to provide affordable, quality, sustainable products and services to help vulnerable Cambodians lead healthier lives and plan the families they desire.
We are looking for a Deputy Executive Director for Programs in Cambodia to help us manage a diverse group of staff, including the Sexual and Reproductive Health Programs, Malaria programs, Child Survival and WASH programs, as well as Technical Services department that encompasses Research, M&E, and Social Behavior Change.
We’re looking for a leader who will work with the Executive Director to run our multifaceted health program. He/ She will be challenged to work with colleagues to implement and achieve the program-related objectives laid out in the new strategic plan 2018-2020. The Deputy ED for Programs will represent PSI and PSI/Cambodia with partners and donors, nurture current relationships and build new ones as needed.
