PSI anticipates the need for an experienced, dynamic candidates for the position of Voluntary Medical Male Circumcision Project Director in Zambia to support PSI’s network member Society for Family Health (SFH). Society for Family Health is a leading local Zambian organization with programs targeting malaria, child survival, HIV and reproductive health. SFH’s work ranges from on the ground implementation of health services, and community programs to distribution of health care products and services to the most vulnerable populations, provides life-saving products, clinical services and behavior change communications that empower the most vulnerable populations to lead healthier lives.
We are looking for a VMMC Project Director to help us develop, implement and evaluate innovative methods and strategies to increase demand for VMMC among the most impact age group. The project funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation will also involve oversight of a service delivery component through which research will be implemented. The successful candidate is expected to work closely within Ministry of health structures and to serve as a key member of the National Technical working group on VMMC. The Project Director will also serve on SFH's Leadership team contributing to the strategic direction of the organization. It is expected that outcomes of this project will influence and shape VMMC demand generation and service delivery nationally, regionally and globally. The position is based in Lusaka, Zambia and reports to the Executive Director.

Experienced manager. You have been a Project Director or Technical Advisor of a large project before and have excellent knowledge of HIV/AIDS prevention and research, M&E, with a proven ability to produce results. You have supervised staff.
Capacity Builder: You have experience in building institution, local technical, management and leadership capacity.
You are able to inspire a shared vision for the SFH staff. You have successfully helped your staff learn, grow, and thrive in their work.
You have experience working with Ministries of Health, health care companies, or global health donors. You are able to identify new donors and partners for programs. You are able to spot trends and keep the PSI global headquarters informed about health needs and opportunities in Zambia.
