    Who we are

With over 45 years of experience, working in over 60 countries, Population Services International (PSI) is the world’s leading non-profit social marketing organization. PSI is reimagining healthcare, by putting the consumer at the center, and wherever possible – bringing care to the front door. We are working to fix market failures, shape future health markets and shift policy and funding to better support consumer empowered healthcare.

There are over 8,000 “PSIers” around the world. We are a diverse group of entrepreneurial development professionals with a wide range of backgrounds and experience. All with unique skills that we bring to the critically important work that we do.

    Join us!

We are looking for dynamic candidates with expertise in knowledge management and significant global health program management experience for the Temporary Knowledge Management (KM) Technical Advisor. As a member of the newly created Knowledge Management department, the KM Technical Advisor will support the creation, implementation and adoption of processes that enable knowledge capture, real-time collaboration, problem solving and organizational learning across PSI Global. KM’s mandate is to establish an active learning culture while making measurable progress in breaking down silos and increasing operational efficiency.

PSI’s Knowledge Management Department is responsible for:

    1. Ensuring that learning is routinely derived from PSI’s programmatic and evidence activities and is appropriately packaged in line with PSI’s strategic priorities to shape market systems, shift policy and funding and strengthen global capacity to deliver improved consumer empowered health care.
    2. Establishing an active learning culture to ensure that strategic learning is rapidly promoted throughout the organization to accelerate progress towards the achievement of strategic plan objectives.
    3. Promoting relevant knowledge products amongst PSI’s thought leaders to ensure evidence based learning is systematically used to influence external communities of practice to accelerate progress towards consumer empowered healthcare.

To achieve this vision, we are looking for a Temporary Knowledge Management (KM) Technical Advisor to support rolling out the knowledge management strategy across the global network. The KM Technical Advisor will have wide ranging responsibilities, work with PSI staff at all levels both in Washington and overseas and report to the Knowledge Manager. This temporary position is full-time for six months and includes the potential to convert to a permanent position based on strategic departmental needs and employee performance.

The position will focus on the implementation of KM and change management to help PSI achieve desired improvements in health and development outcomes, including increasing demand for family planning (FP) and satisfaction with modern contraception; ending preventable child and maternal deaths (EPCMD); achieving and maintaining an AIDS-Free Generation (AFG); and achieving a malaria-free world.
