    PSI Cote d’Ivoire is a dynamic platform with a growing portfolio in reproductive health that includes ongoing projects focused on youth, both young men and women under 25 years old, and all other women of reproductive age financed by USAID, the Dutch and Canadian governments as well as private donors. The platform also has long standing activities in HIV prevention and treatment financed PEPFAR through the U.S. department of defense. In addition, there are projects in malaria and sanitation.

     

     We are looking for a Report Writer to provide support to the CDI Platform in the development of the final report for a DOD-funded project.

    Your contribution

    In coordination with the CDI Country Representative (CR) and the DOD Project Director, the Report Writer will draft the final report for the DOD project in line with donor standards and requirements.

    Specifically, the Report writer will:

    • Discuss with the CR, the Project Director as well as review the agreement to understand DOD report requirements;
    • Review reports from past three years of implementation to accurately summarize project interventions, achievements, challenges and recommendations for future interventions;
    • Interview project director, strategic information director and other staff as necessary to capture relevant project details, and confirm data accuracy;
    • Edit, revise and rewrite as needed to produce high quality, timely, final report aligned with DOD established standards and formats;
    • Submit a final report including proper layout and formatting according to DOD standards to the CR

     

    What are we looking for?

    • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, media, communication, social science and business administration, public health or other relevant degrees
    • Minimum of 5 years of high-level experience in writing, editing, reporting, and communicating complex programmatic information in reader-friendly formats and styles;
    • Experience in international development required, HIV project implementation experience and familiarity with DOD preferred;
    • Strong ability in MS Word to work effectively.
    • Excellent command in written and spoken English is essential (knowledge of French is a plus).
