    PSI is looking for an accomplished financial analysis professional to join the Field Finance team. The Field Finance team at PSI is a talented and passionate group of finance and accounting professionals, who support PSI’s country programs and global projects by providing accounting operations support, financial analysis expertise, and delivering timely and accurate financial reports.  


    This position will lead the unit of Financial Analysts within the Field Finance team and will work closely with the Director of Field Finance to lead PSI’s work in linking programmatic data to financial data. Your team will be responsible for key elements of monitoring financial performance and using numbers to “tell the story” of our projects. You will bring a track record as a leader, excellent analytical and communication skills, strong proficiency in both technical health and operational areas, and a mix of field office and headquarters experience.

    Your contribution

    • Direct and manage a team of financial analysts who provide country-specific and project-specific finance support, including recruiting, training and performance management to deliver exceptional service to the organization;
    • Effectively communicate financial information, tailored to audience, for maximum impact and effective decision-making, and coach others to do the same;
    • Provide leadership, in collaboration with programmatic teams, in PSI’s efforts to improve linkages between programmatic and financial data, for both donor-requested reports and internally-identified projects;
    • Engage in regular (monthly & quarterly) project financial reviews, in conjunction with the program management teams, to ensure consistent, high-quality reviews are conducted to serve the needs of senior stakeholders and decision-makers;
    • Provide ad hoc support on financial analysis for existing businesses, projects, and departments, as necessary;
    • Assist in identifying process and system efficiencies;
    • Ensure the financial analysis team are active participants in the onboarding of country office finance directors and other senior operations staff;
    • Support the Director in the review, redesign and implementation of financial analysis policies and procedures, particularly related to more robust and accurate forecasting;
    • Support the Director in the development and delivery of finance training to PSI’s field and HQ staff;
    • Collaborate with other units within the Finance department, including the Field Finance Support (finance operations) team, as well as Program Management Teams to ensure that capacity building needs are identified and addressed. 


    What are we looking for?

    The basics

    • Bachelor’s degree, MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred, or equivalent experience;
    • At least 10 years professional experience, including international development financial and programmatic experience;
    • Experience with PEPFAR’s Expenditure Analysis/Expenditure Reporting or similar strongly preferred;
    • Proven experience in staff supervision and team building.
    • Strong financial analysis and excel skills;
    • Strong analytical/problem solving skills, creativity and initiative.
    • Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a diverse team environment and effectively promote the PSI’s mission, values, and objectives.
    • Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment.
    • Experience with multilateral, bilateral, and private donor projects (especially USG, Global Fund, DFID).
    • Excellent organizational skills and strong customer service focus.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
    • French language skills strongly preferred.
    • Ability to travel internationally up to 20%.
