    The Evidence Department coordinates the development and implementation of cutting- edge program monitoring, market research, and operational evaluation to inform decision making by our network members.

     

    We are looking for a consultant to support various types quantitative research projects across the organization, including market research studies, implementation research, and evaluation studies. Specific tasks can include protocol development, support throughout implementation and analysis, landscaping activities, literature reviews, and capacity building.

    Your contribution

    The consultant will:

    • Develop study design, sampling plans, data collection instruments, analysis plans, codebooks, and other research and evaluation documents in collaboration with the Evidence team
    • Advise and support the protocol submission process to the Research Ethics Board
    • Create electronic forms for quantitative data collection and monitor data quality throughout data collection
    • Manipulate large datasets, clean data, and execute advanced quantitative data analysis
    • Implement quality control standards for data collection, data cleaning, and analysis
    • Develop capacity building materials and/or conduct capacity building activities
    • Produce written reports, manuscripts and literature reviews
    • Support program teams in data analysis, interpretation and learning

     

    What are we looking for?

    • PhD, Master’s Degree, or 10 years of relevant public health evaluation experience (g., public health, quantitative research, statistics).
    • Advanced knowledge of quantitative studies, including the design, collection and analysis of large-scale population-based surveys
    • Experience in the design, collection and analysis of experimental, quasi- experimental, implementation and observational research studies
    • Experience conducting or supporting integrated bio-behavioral surveillance (IBBS) studies preferred
    • Experience in electronic data collection using SurveyCTO or other ODK platform
    • Advanced knowledge of market research data analysis methods
    • Familiarity with pricing and cost effectiveness studies
    • Excellent written skills in English. French, Spanish, or Portuguese a plus.
