This position is an opportunity to be part of the Acceleration Market Group at PSI. Our team supports creative, new ways of shaping health markets and shifting policy and funding in the dynamic countries of Bangladesh, India, Kenya, Myanmar, Nigeria, and South Africa.

 

PSI seeks a Program Coordinator to support this Acceleration Market. The Coordinator is a key member of department, whose mission is to deliver high-quality, demand-driven services to PSI’s program management team and our field programs, helping to ensure financial accountability, technical integrity and programmatic success.

 

This position is based in Washington DC. Your contribution The Acceleration Market Group Program Coordinator is responsible for supporting the department’s portfolio of countries, particularly Bangladesh, Kenya, Nigeria, and South Africa.

Your contribution

  • Ensure smooth financial and programmatic execution of awards, including monitoring of agreement modifications, outstanding commitments, and payments in coordination with the Sr. APMs and other departments as necessary;
  • Support Sr. APMs and Subaward Manager with management of subaward monitoring and processing payment requests.
  • Support in organizing, editing and filing programmatic and financial deliverables;
  • Facilitate process flows and adherence to PSI policies, including timely distribution of new policies and procedures to the field;
  • Manage contractors and vendors, ensuring accurate set up and timely payments;
  • Assist with new business development opportunities, providing support to ensure adherence to NBD quality standards.
  • Support the Financial Analyst as needed with subaward management, donor invoices, or other tasks;
  • Oversee and prepare the labor charging guidance for the department, in coordination with the Sr APMs and Financial Analyst;
  • Support onboarding of new staff in PSI processes and procedures;
  • Connect team members to resources in headquarters and at the country level;
  • Support the organization of meetings including venue, catering, and transport;
  • Other duties as assigned

The basics

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject (Public Health, International Development)
  • At least two years of prior work experience in a fast-paced office environment;
  • A team player, ready for a challenge and motivated by new thinking. Comfortable with change within an evolving, innovative team.
  • Strong quantitative skills, with emphasis on working with budgets and spreadsheets;
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • Advanced computer skills (MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, and PowerPoint),
  • Excellent organizational and administrative skills with special attention to detail and timeliness;
  • Proven ability to manage large workloads and organize work efficiently;
  • Ability to interact with a variety of people at all levels and assume diverse duties and tasks;
  • References will be required.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.  B. PSI will not consider work visa sponsorship for this position.
  • The successful candidate will be required to pass a background check.
