Population Services International is a global non-profit organization that has 50 years of experience working to shape and influence the delivery of health products that make it easier for consumers to lead healthier lives. PSI harnesses the vitality of the private sector to address the health problems of low-income and vulnerable populations in 40 developing countries across the globe through programs in water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH), malaria, reproductive health, non-communicable diseases, COVID-19, and HIV. Since its founding, PSI’s approach has evolved to primarily focus on helping local institutions and private actors shape markets themselves, with PSI providing technical assistance, coordination, and facilitation. To help us shape our approach, PSI seeks an experienced climate insider with expertise in climate action / philanthropy /fundraising / strategic partnerships to help us better understand priorities, potential strategic partners, entry points for collaboration and opportunities to bring our technical expertise and deep community engagement for meaningful impact.
PSI seeks an individual or small business firm with proven experience in the climate sector, some familiarity with international public health a plus.
Works is expected to take 4-6 weeks and result in a high-quality and user-friendly climate landscaping report summarizing key climate action priorities with a focus on mitigation and adaptation, potential funders and strategic partners, current and anticipated projects, and entry points for collaboration and opportunities for engagement as per the detailed scope of work.
This is a remote consultancy. Consultant will work with the SRH Director and members of the Global Fundraising Team and Sectoral Specialists (Health, Strategy & Insights).
Scope of work
The Scope of Work will be executed over the period of October 15 – November 30, 2021.
We would like to better understand how we may contribute to adaptation and resilience efforts that seek to protect people from the impacts of climate change and whether there are opportunities to contribute to efforts to mitigate the causes of climate change, for example within the context of conservation.
