This role will be responsible for provide overall leadership and oversight of PSI SA Health Solution (PSI SA HS) operations in South Africa.  This will include ensuring overall oversight of governance, program operations support, fundraising, risk management, government and donor compliance requirements and needs. This role will work very closely with other PSI global departments and in-country partners to achieve PSI SA HS’s mission in South Africa. 

 

Your contributions

  • Work closely with the Global Operations Africa Program Management Team to provide overall leadership and oversight of all the governance, in-country fundraising, global program operational support, new program start-up support, risk mitigation, donor and compliance requirements for PSI SA HS. [15%]

 

  • Work closely with global teams to shape PSI’s overall strategy in South Africa, ensuring overall strategic alignment with PSI’s Global Strategy and support overall execution of PSI SA HS’s strategic objectives. [10%]

 

  • Work closely with relevant global teams to lead extensive fundraise efforts, including establishing strategic in-country partnerships for potential new business. [35%]

 

  • Represent the organization, shape, and maintain external strategic partnerships and foster strong relations with government, in-country partners, and donors to advance PSI SA HS’s mission in South Africa. [20%]

  • Ensure compliance of all program activities (i.e. financial, minimum standards, assurance, donor regulations) and that all audit recommendations are implemented according to schedule. Proactively perform risk assessments to identify and mitigate risks, including operational, financial, legal, contractual, reputational and safety and ensure mitigation actions are implemented. [10%]

 

  • Assist in development and enforce field office administrative policies. Promote an ethical environment in line with PSI’s values. Maintain a working culture that fosters diversity, equity, and inclusion. Develop and maintain systems that ensure the safety and security of staff and assets in all aspects of work per best practices, PSI operating standards, and field realities. [10%]

Proficiency in Microsoft 365. Familiarity with a quantitative or qualitative data analysis program preferred.
