PSI works in the Dominican Republic through its network member, Society for Family Health (SFH). SFH was registered as a local NGO in the Dominican Republic in 2014. As an affiliate of PSI, SFH has been a leader in the national response to HIV in the DR, implementing CDC-funded services for the prevention and treatment of HIV to hard-to-reach Haitian migrants, cyber education on sexual and reproductive health to adolescents, mental health and condom distribution (PANTE).
PSI is seeking a Project Director to successfully lead implementation of an anticipated $10 million project focused on improving prevention, treatment, and care services for HIV, TB, and other infectious diseases in the Dominican Republic.
The Project Director will oversee all phases of the project lifecycle from start-up to close-out, ensuring the project operates with minimal financial, contractual, and reputational risk. The Project Director will ensure project deliverables are carried out on time and within budget, supervise personnel and manage sub-recipient relationships, coordinate and collaborate with government officials and other national stakeholders in the Dominican Republic, and support alignment of the project with PSI’s global strategic priorities, as well as national and regional priorities, strategies, policies, and interventions. The Project Director will be accountable for the delivery of all aspects of the project, including technical implementation, financial and administrative compliance and oversight and supervision of project staff. They will oversee the project team to ensure that country level implementation is provided with a high standard of excellence, achieving its set goals and targets and within budget. Will provide high level technical thought leadership and have the managerial capacity to strategically manage risk, monitor finances and ensure each phase of work is started or completed on time. Be responsible for using evidence to improve project design and implementation. As the leader of a single-country project, liaise with national stakeholders, such as Ministry of Health officials and will be the primary point of contact for the project donor and assures the strategic alignment of the project with PSI Global Strategy.
This is a 5-year position, with funds obligated on an annual basis based on project performance.

5-10% international travel; 10-20% domestic travel

Salary Ranges:*
PSI is committed to pay equity and transparency. We ensure pay meets the market within each country. This approach minimizes our impact on local talent markets and allows PSI to attract and retain employees, while staying cost-competitive.
Actual base salary compensation will be determined by factors such as a candidate’s qualifications, experience, internal equity, external market analysis, and other business factors permitted by law. Hiring above the mid-point of the range below would not be typical in order to allow for potential future salary growth.
PSI is offering the following gross annual salary ranges for this position, dependent on candidate location:
• For International Assignees** (paid in USD): $102,000 (minimum) - $127,000 (midpoint) - $152,000 (maximum)
**For International Assignees: Candidates approved to receive expatriate packages will receive the appropriate compensation and allowance package. Details will be provided during interview process.
