PSI’s global strategy focuses on consumer powered healthcare (CPH) as the sustainable pathway to universal health coverage (UHC). PSI is seeking a Research Utilization Technical Advisor for Strategic Evidence to support the organization’s CPH evidence, learning and thought leadership initiatives. The Technical Advisor will primarily provide technical support on research utilization, knowledge management, and scaling of evidence-based insights on the Research for Scalable Solutions (R4S) Project.  R4S is a 5-year, USAID-funded implementation science award that seeks to build the evidence base for sexual and reproductive health interventions, including self-care, private sector solutions, and the cost-effectiveness of high-impact practices for family planning.  PSI works as a member of the R4S consortium, which is primed by FHI360 and includes partners such as Save the Children, Makerere University School of Public Health, and EVIHDAF.   The Technical Advisor will be part of PSI’s Evidence Department. The Evidence Department brings together performance metrics, knowledge management and thought leadership teams at PSI. The multi-disciplinary department spearheads technical learning for the organization that is used for internal decision-making and external influence.  The department is coordinated by the Evidence Leadership Team, which is led by the Chief Evidence Officer.  The Technical Advisor will also have a dotted line to PSI’s Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) Department, which provides technical expertise to PSI’s global SRH programs.   The Technical Advisor is responsible for providing technical support to the R4S team and wider SRH and Evidence Departments on research utilization and knowledge management, and to make technical contributions on a global, multi-year implementation research project.  To excel in this position, the Technical Advisor must be able to integrate research utilization and knowledge management planning and processes into implementation science research studies, enjoy engaging and working alongside country teams and partners; have a passion for SRH, and a willingness to be a thought partner in research design, implementation, and documentation and scale-up of learnings.   The position requires experience and willingness to engage on the technical aspects of research, including stakeholder engagement, the development of research utilization plans, the implementation of knowledge management approaches, and the development of research outputs. The ideal candidate will: have a talent for data analysis, technical writing, a creative approach to problem solving, and the skills and interest to engage in technical aspects of research.  The ability to speak French or Portuguese would a strong plus.
